Multi-section

Also called: triple-wide, triple-section

A manufactured home built in three or more sections, producing the largest factory-built floor plans.

Multi-section homes, usually triple-wides, are assembled from three or more units and can exceed 2,000 square feet. They allow floor plans with features single- and double-wides cannot accommodate: split primary suites, formal dining rooms, and genuinely open living areas.

They are most often placed on owned land with a permanent foundation, partly because many community lots cannot physically accept them, and partly because buyers at this size usually want the home treated as real property.

Transport and setup are more involved and more expensive, and moving one later is a serious undertaking. These are homes bought to stay put.
